down comforters and egyptian cotton?
I am moving into a new place and will be buying a new bedroom set. I was wondering what kind of comforter is better, iver heard that the fill ratio the better. And the egyptian cotton’s TC is better when its at its high. Now do you guys recommend egyptian cotton sheets and a down comforter to sleep in? if so what type? I guess what i am looking for is a set in order to cover my bed but a down comforter to sleep warm and soft in.
thanks for your help

I’ve used egyptian cotton sheets and they wore out and tore while we were sleeping one night. Didn’t last anywhere near as long as other sheets I’ve had. A lot of the poly comforters are comfy but get one with a lot of stitching because the poly can bunch up and leave some areas bare.
Love my 660 TC Egyptian Cotton sheets and down comforter. Higher TC, the softer and long lasting the sheets. Here’s a source for both, been very pleased with price and the quality of my purchases: http://www.overstock.com/bedding/29/store.html
Oh! Egyptian cotton is definitely the best. It’s the highest thread count you can possible get and is so soft and comfortable. There’s this website that has complete bed sets with duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases, shams, bed skirts, etc. Look here: http://www.duvetscomfortersandbedding.com/. And they have a variety of Egyptian cotton products and Ecru, which is also very good with a high thread count. Good luck in your search!
