Oh! Egyptian cotton is definitely the best. It's the highest thread count you can possible get and is so soft and comfortable. There's this website that has complete bed sets with duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases, shams, bed skirts, etc. Look here: http://www.duvetscomfortersandbedding.com/. And they have a variety of Egyptian cotton products and Ecru, which is also very good with a high thread count. Good luck in your search!

Love my 660 TC Egyptian Cotton sheets and down comforter. Higher TC, the softer and long lasting the sheets. Here's a source for both, been very pleased with price and the quality of my purchases: http://www.overstock.com/bedding/29/store.html

I've used egyptian cotton sheets and they wore out and tore while we were sleeping one night. Didn't last anywhere near as long as other sheets I've had. A lot of the poly comforters are comfy but get one with a lot of stitching because the poly can bunch up and leave some areas bare.
